We will start the day, by driving through the Rif mountains and Tetouan city to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains till we get to Chefchaouen, one of the stunning villages at the feet of the Rif mountains.
Chefchaouen medina has a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top restaurants, and cafes where you will spend your night in a nice place to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of nature.
After a tasty breakfast on the road, our 8 Days Desert Trip From Tangier to Marrakech starts towards Volubilis crossing via Ouazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis, we will discover the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history.
Then we will drive to Meknes city (the 17th-century heritage) where we will stop for lunch and we will discover the historical walls of the medina, bab el Mansour and we will enjoy a visit to Moulay Ismail shrine. Later in the afternoon, we head to Fes city where we will spend the night.
Today we will explore one of the oldest cities in Morocco, walking through its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century.
We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Karaouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.
After breakfast in your hotel, we will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. You will be traveling through the fascinating Tiz Ntalghamt pass and the Ziz Gorge. You’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, where you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality.
Afterward, we will travel along Ziz Valley, stopping for panoramic views along the way to Erfoud (famous fossil city) and Rissani(with its famous souk). We arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon and you’ll be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before you start your camel ride to spend a night in the desert camp with Berber music and also sand-boarding.
We woke up early to see the spectacle of the sunrise over the dunes of the Erg Chebbi before heading back to the hotel by camels. After breakfast and shower.
Leaving the desert, we will drive through the Atlas (Saghro) mountains and we will take a short walk through Todra Gorge before arriving in Dades Valley for dinner and accommodation. We spent a night in Dades Gorges, in a local riad/hotel.
After breakfast in the hotel, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kelaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. This route through Dades Valley is called the way of the thousand kasbahs. We will visit the cinema city, Ouarzazate, and also Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest Kasbah in Morocco, built by T-Hami El Glaoui (the UNESCO heritage site).
Then, we will drive across the High Atlas mountains and you will enjoy the panoramic view and attractive Berber villages along the way till we reach Marrakech where we stay overnight in a local hotel.
Continuing our 8 days desert trip from Tangier to Marrakech, we will start exploring the red city of Morocco “Marrakech”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest. This includes the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, and the Bahia Palace.
After lunch at a local restaurant near the famous square, you will walk through the souks and you can also buy souvenirs or enjoy the art of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will have free time to discover the city by yourself.
Today, depending on your flight, you will be transferred to the airport to attend your flight.
