9 Days Draa Tafilalet Tour

After breakfast, we will made our way to Rissani. Where we will walk by what is recognized as the most authentic and traditional souk in Morocco, and the largest in the south of the country, where it is exchanged with all types of handicrafts, food, and animals.

After lunch we visit some ancient ruins, architectural buildings like Sijilmassa, Ksar El Fida, Ksar Oulad Abdelhalim, and Mezguida.

After breakfast, we will head to Agdaz. We will stop in Gara Medouar where many films were filmed there, then heading to Nkob, the village of 45 kasbahs. It is the only Moroccan village with more than forty kasbahs. The old part of the village still contains many old impressive kasbahs, all constructed in mud in front of the oasis and the Jbel (mountain) Saghro and also know as the capital of henna. After that, we will head to Agdaz. Accommodation a charming kasbah.

After your breakfast will head to ksar Tamnougalt. The Former capital of the Mezguita tribe, Ksar Tamnougalt is one of the oldest ksours that is still in good condition in the Draa Valley. Founded more than three centuries ago by a family of Caïds, who represented the sultan in the area, Ksar Tamnougalt occupied a strategic position. After that we will go to Taznakht. It is a major carpet weaving center, using wool from Siroua’s sheep breeding. For centuries, the Ouaouzguite carpet (now widely known as “Taznakht carpet”) was always the number one practice of the tribes and their main financial resource.

Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazat is Day 5 of the 9-day Draa Tafilalet Tour.

Ait Ben Haddou, a stunning fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site, will start the day explore the village's winding alleys and learn about its history and architecture. Some locations are from Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

After Ait Ben Haddou, the tour will go to Ouarzazat, the "door of the desert" and a film production center in Morocco. You'll see breathtaking mountain and valley views.

Day 7 marks our departure from Ouarzazate to venture into the dramatic and awe-inspiring Dades Gorges.
